Writing your own Myth
Step 1: Choose a Mystery Myth Bag - Discover your zoo animal in your bag!
Here comes the problem! A student on a zoo field trip asks the zoo keeper how you came to be! The zoo keeper couldn't really explain it, so he asked you, the animal! You must explain how your species came into existence.
Step 2: Using the Flower Organizer - Fill in at least 6 details that you know about your animal.
Step 3: Choose a detail to explain that relates to your animal. (Ex: Pelican's beak, Giraffe's neck, Flamingo's color)
Step 4: Pretend you are that animal and explain to your zoo keeper how you came to be. For example: how the flamingo got its pink color, Why the pelican's beak is so big.
Step 5: Write your Myth - Remember to think about the setting/characters (At least one character should be a God or Goddess/sequence of your story. Check spelling, grammar and punctuation. Complete your rough draft and get your colored card. Complete your final copy on your color card.
Step 6: Illustrate your animal - add details from your myth for the most points possible.
